Tawn Le is a native Texan and currently resides in Houston, Texas.  She grew up in Irving, Texas and then attended the University of Texas at Austin and received her undergraduate degrees in Business Marketing and Asian American Studies in 2007.

Like many Asian Americans, Tawn grew up in a strict household with little encouragement to pursue the performing arts with the exception of piano – shocking isn’t it?  After graduating high school at the top of her class, she made a conscious decision to explore other opportunities while in college and joined various organizations on campus throughout her collegiate career and eventually founded a chapter of Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority, Inc. with seven other women to promote cultural diversity through partnerships and program development around social justice issues, scholarship, leadership, service, and multiculturalism. During her time in college she interned at Emmis Communications in internal radio promotion, and then worked for BMP Radio in Austin, Texas as an account manager after graduation. At present, she works for Cox Media Group.

Tawn writes a humor blog on ChickenAndKetchup.com with topics ranging from personal experience to current events.  She is also involved with Kollaboration Houston, the largest Asian American talent show in North America which encourages young Asian Americans to showcase their performing arts talent to the community in hopes to build solidarity within the Asian American community and to push more Asian Americans into the mainstream. Additionally, she performs long-form improv on a weekly basis with Rogue Improv, a long-form improv comedy ensemble.

She is a sucker for Flaming Hot Cheetos, Diet Dr. Pepper, and food in general.
